Group Home for the Elderly with Dementia

We opened our group home Lumiere in Yokohama in 2015. With 18 residences (2 units of 9 private, 9.0 square meter rooms), the facility is specifically aimed at residents who need high-level care and/or have dementia symptoms. We provide attentive care in a small-group setting, assisting each person with an everyday life that is true to who they are. Specialised staff is ready to assist our residents 24 hours a day.

We aim to create an environment that allows people to live a life that is as close as possible to their life at home, for example by stimulating them to actively engage in hobbies. In 2012, the Swiss National Broadcasting Corporation came to Japan to film some of our residents petting the nursing robot seal “Paro”.
